So Obama Isn't Big On Vegas Trips
This month spotlights a few events: The Bar and Nightclub Convention, the NCAA Tournament, and the grandest of all events(Drumroll).....MY BIRTHDAY (March 6th). You should mail your gifts or money now so it gets here in time. If you are going to be here for any of those events or for some other occasion or convention, please call or email me so I can point you in the right direction for dinner reservations, nightclubs, meeting places, hotels, transportation or any other facet of your trip to Vegas. If you would like to be introduced to a casino host that can take care of your gambling needs, I have a few that take very good care of my friends. My first grade teacher said the only dumb question is the one you don't ask..so please ask me before you get here.
My birthday week starts off with a DJ set at Prive on Monday March 2 followed by another DJ set in Hollywood (Central Nightclub) on Thursday March 5th then Monday should happen at some point...in between could be scary. Hope to see many of you at some point.
Hang in the there folks, we are all feeling the pinch in some way or another. Find someone or something that brings a smile to your face everyday and we will all get through this together.

SAPPHIRE GENTLEMEN'S CLUB
Hands Down the nicest and largest gentleman's club in Las Vegas!
It's a 70,000-square-foot, mutli-floored temple of adult entertainment. And when you walk inside Sapphire, you'll see that the $31 million erotic palace is decked out with classy art, cool design, and impressive architecture wall-to-wall.
Of course you'll soon realize, too, that Sapphire is also filled with a bevy of Las Vegas' greatest, most gorgeous ladies. They are true dancing gems.
While Sapphire's 10,000-square-foot main floor showroom gets pumping nightly with thumping music, pole-twirling dancers and enthusiastic crowds, the cabaret-style seating – with lamp-lit tables – gives the place a sophisticated feeling, too.
While enjoying the dancing, don't forget to check out the glass-floored raised stage, too. It's a view like no other.
The main floor features three bars, Martini Bar, Pete's Bar, and the New York Bar. Martini Bar is the standout – with its giant glass décor and delicious concoctions. It's a great place to enjoy a cocktail.
Above the main floor, 10 V.I.P skyboxes provide intimate rooms for private dances – with great views of the action below. The skyboxes can accommodate groups of four to 12 and have comfortable couches and seats. Private butler, bottle and concierge services are available. Sapphire also offers two large V.I.P. suites on the main floor.
And, for those looking for a top-flight experience, Sapphire even has a separate V.I.P. entrance with a sweeping staircase leading up to private dance experiences.
Sapphire also specializes in serving the needs of private parties of all kinds. Its party rooms can accommodate groups from five to 1,000. Sapphire calls itself the "Bachelor and Bachelorette Party Headquarters." Find out why for yourself.
A bachelor party (United States, South Africa)—also known as a stag party, stag night, or stag do (UK, Ireland, Canada, and New Zealand); bull's party (South Africa); or buck's party or buck's night (Australia)—is a party held for a bachelor shortly before he enters marriage, to make the most of his final opportunity to engage in activities a new partner might not approve of, or merely to spend time with his friends (often in his wedding party afterwards).
The history of bachelor party is thought to have originated with a bachelor dinner that was traditional in ancient Sparta (5th century BC) where soldiers would toast each other on the eve of a friend’s wedding.
A bachelor party may involve activities beyond the usual party and social gathering ingredients (often drinking alcohol and gambling), such as going to a strip club, hiring a stripper or escort, and in some traditions more hazing-like tests and pranks at the future groom's expense, which shows the whole thing is also a rite of passage from bachelorhood (associated with an adolescent lifestyle, often in the common past of most participants, e.g. in their student years) to "more responsible" marital life.
The task of organizing a bachelor party is often traditionally assigned to a male sibling of the bachelor or to the best man. Otherwise, any (close and/or reputedly party-minded) male friend will organize it. The planned activities of a bachelor party are traditionally kept secret from the groom.
Bachelor parties have also been the subject of many movies, especially comedies.
Variations
A stag party in Munich
It has also become common for a similar party to be held for the bride-to-be. This is known as a bachelorette party or Hen party.
A tame version is the so-called Stag and Doe party, in which both the bride and groom attend.
UK
In the United Kingdom it is now common for the party to last for more than one evening, hence the increasing prevalence of the phrase "stag weekend." A spin off has been the growth of the Stag Weekend Industry in the UK with various companies taking the "hassle" out of the weekend.
In the UK, stag weekend trips are becoming mini-holidays with the groups taking part in various day time activities as well as the expected night out on the town. Popular UK destinations include Blackpool, Brighton, Bournemouth, Sunderland, Liverpool and Edinburgh. With the rise of budget airlines, there is now a growing trend for stags to go abroad, with Krakow, Dublin and Riga topping the list, followed by Prague, Vilnius, Amsterdam, Bratislava and Antwerpen.
Groups of friends attending weekends away in the UK and even into Europe with their best friend leave home on a Friday and embrace 2 days of fun. The groom who normally is called "the Stag" will have a selection of tasks to complete on the stag weekend. Group activities include paintball, kart racing, poker parties and clay pigeon shooting.
United States
In the United States, Las Vegas, South Beach (Miami), Chicago, and New Orleans are popular bachelor party destinations; they are also popular wedding locations. Increasingly, "destination bachelor parties" are replacing standard nights out, with Americans traveling to Montreal or Mexico.
Bachelor parties in the US often entail the mass consumption of alcohol, the hiring of a stripper or prostitute, and general rowdiness toward which the bride might not have a positive reaction (especially since women are not supposed to be among the invitees). Increasingly, bachelor parties have come to symbolize the last time when the groom is truly "free" and without the influence of his new wife.
Australia
Many Buck's Nights feature a stripper and a poker tournament. The groom's mates often, after heavy drinking, subject the groom to various humiliations, sometimes in public. These often include leaving him tied naked to a pole or placing him on an aeroplane to a remote location. It has also been quite common to start the humiliation at the beginning of the night by dressing the buck up as a female or making him wear a "mankini".
Canada
Canadian cities such as Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver are popular bachelor party destinations due to their large number of strip clubs with "dance contact" (lap-dancing). Montreal in particular is popular for this purpose with both Canadians and Americans alike. The female equivalent of a stag party in Canada is often known as a "stagette" or "doe."
France
In France, the bachelor party is called "enterrement de vie de garçon" (for the groom-to-be), which literally means "(the) burial of the life as a boy" or "burial/funeral of the life as a bachelor." For women, "enterrement de vie de jeune fille" (for the bride-to-be) translated as "burial/funeral of the life as a young girl." As in English-speaking countries, such parties often feature heavy drinking and various (although gentle) humiliations, and sometimes the presence of a stripper.
India
The tradition is catching on in India. Pondicherry is the place to be.
Russia
In Russia the event is called’ (malchishnik) which roughly translates as boys’ party. The event for a bride-to-be is called ‘(devichnik) or girls’ party.
